For Part 91 & 135 flight departments

Is your tail clear for flight?

Before an aircraft flies, someone has to know its tail is clear. TailClear answers that for every tail on your certificate, with the reasons. Maintenance control, trips and quotes, crew duty and currency, safety and FRATs, fuel, weight and balance, costs and documents in one app, with built-in AI that reads your fleet and your paperwork. TailClear flags the conflict before the trip, not at the ramp.

Set up for you by Lowcountry Aerospace & Compliance. Works on phone, tablet and desktop.

The problem

Maintenance control shouldn't live in four logins and a spreadsheet.

Due lists in one system, trips in another

Someone has to line up the tracking forecast against the schedule by hand, every week, for every tail.

Deferrals on a whiteboard

A Cat B clock runs out over a weekend and nobody sees it until the crew does the walkaround.

Parts, tires and brakes in email

The replacement lands a day after the limit, and the trip that needed the airplane is already sold.

What it does

Everything the flight department runs on.

Every module shares one set of data, so a lapsed pilot check, an expired certificate or a late part shows up as a conflict on the trip it affects. Switch modules on or off per operator.

Conflict check

The check that usually lives in someone's head.

TailClear compares every upcoming trip against maintenance events, aircraft status, projected limits, deferral clocks and parts ETAs, then says what to do about it.

  • Trip overlaps a maintenance window. Swap tails or move the event.
  • Deferral expires mid-trip. Clear it before departure or change the aircraft.
  • Part lands after the limit. Expedite, or line up the backup airplane now.
TailClear conflicts page listing trips that overlap maintenance, an expiring deferral and a late part, each with a suggested action
Photo logging

Snap the tire log. TailClear reads it.

Take a photo of a tire log, brake wear-pin measurement, pressure sheet or work card. TailClear reads the landings, pin length, pressure and retreads for each wheel position, then shows them to you to check before anything is saved.

  • Nothing is guessed. Values it can't read clearly stay blank, and each one is marked high, medium or low confidence.
  • You approve every value. Edit anything, then save. The photo is kept with the reading.
  • Projections update instantly. The next tire or brake change moves on the calendar.

Meet Clear, the built-in AI

Ask your fleet anything. Hand it the paperwork.

Clear, TailClear's built-in AI, reads the live data across every module and answers in plain language. It drafts the morning status email, finds maintenance windows, briefs the crew on trip risk, and reads photos and PDFs of logbook entries, invoices, work orders, fuel receipts and certificates.

One-time setup

$1,500 per operation. We map your exports, set utilization and alerts, and set up logins.

Estimate your fleet

Secure payment by Stripe. Choose the number of aircraft at checkout, and add aircraft in other classes or the Records add-on on the same page. After purchase we contact you within one business day to schedule setup. Questions first? Book a setup call or try the live demo.

Setup

We set it up. You don't build spreadsheets.

Lowcountry Aerospace & Compliance configures TailClear for your operation. Our team supports business jet operators with AOG maintenance, records and compliance, so we set it up the way maintenance control actually works.

  1. Discovery call. Which systems you use, which reports you already run, how your people work.
  2. Mapping. We map each export once and save it as your template, so the next import is one step.
  3. Utilization and alerts. Hours and cycles per day from your last 90 days, due-soon windows, modules on or off.
  4. Team logins. Directors, maintenance control, schedulers and techs get their own logins and roles.
  5. Live sync. Where your vendor allows it, you authorize API access and we connect it.
Security

Your fleet data stays yours.

Walled off by operator

Each operator's records are separated in the database itself. One company's users can't see another's.

Role-based logins

Owner, admin, member and view-only roles. Remove someone and their access ends right away.

Read-only to your systems

TailClear never changes data in your tracking or scheduling software.

Audit trail

Every change is logged with who made it and when. Photos are stored privately with the reading.

Encrypted in transit and at rest

HTTPS everywhere, with hosting on major U.S. cloud infrastructure.

A tool, not the record

Your approved tracking system and MEL remain the authority for airworthiness decisions.

Questions

Straight answers.

What does "tail clear" mean?

The tail is the aircraft's N-number. TailClear checks each tail against everything it reads (due items, deferrals, squawks, parts, crew, documents and the trip schedule) and shows TAIL CLEAR, CAUTION or NOT CLEAR with the reasons. It is a planning check that flags problems early. The return to service, the airworthiness determination and the decision to fly stay with your certificated mechanics, your approved tracking system and the pilot in command.

Does TailClear replace CAMP, Traxxall or our other tracking system?

No. Your tracking system stays the record of truth. TailClear reads from it and from your scheduling software, so maintenance control and scheduling see the same picture in one place.

How does data get in?

Today, from the exports you already run in each system (CSV or Excel), mapped once and imported in a step. Tire and brake readings can also be logged from a photo. Live sync is added where the vendor provides API access for your account.

Is there an app for phones?

Yes. Open tailclear.com/app on your phone and add it to your home screen. It opens full screen like any other app, on iPhone and Android.

Who can see our data?

Only the people you add to your operator account, plus the LCA team supporting your setup. Access is controlled per person and can be removed at any time.

What does it cost?

$1,500 one-time setup, then a rate per aircraft by class: Light $100, Midsize $150 and Heavy $225 a month. Paying yearly gets 2 months free: $1,000, $1,500 and $2,250 per aircraft per year. The Records add-on is $50 per aircraft a month ($500 a year). See pricing.
